Sandy Bottom Park East Lake Road Trail: Cultural Resource Survey

Sandy Bottom Park – East Lake Road Trail: Cultural Resource Survey

The Town of Richmond has partnered with an archeologist to complete a cultural resource survey on this property as a preparatory step for a longer-term plan for use and development. This site has been identified as a historic encampment site for Native Americans.

The survey process will take approximately 1 month. During this time we encourage people to stay on the perimeter walking path, which will remain open for the duration of the process.

Please stay off the exposed earth at all times as the survey is being conducted. Thank you for your cooperation.
