Ontario County SWCD Fish Stocking Program

A well-stocked pond can provide many recreational opportunities for your family. The Ontario County SWCD fish stocking program provides suitable species at a reasonable cost. To place an order, download an order form and mail in your check.

 

The NYS Department of Environmental Conservation requires a farm fish pond license. See the DEC Farm Fish Pond License Application form.

Got pills? Protect the environment and keep your prescriptions secure by bringing  outdated, unwanted or unusable medications to a dropoff location for safe disposal. Sponsored by the Partnership for Ontario County and the Ontario County Sheriff along with other local law enforcement agencies and organizations.

Citizen Preparedness Corps Training Program  

This state program seeks to provide citizens with the tools and resources to prepare for emergencies and disasters, respond accordingly, and recover as quickly as possible to pre-disaster conditions. Each family that attends will receive a NYS Disaster Preparedness Kit that contains key items to assist individuals in the immediate aftermath of a disaster. The state training and kits are designed to help New Yorkers be the most-trained and best-prepared citizens in the country. The event is free, but space is limited and attendees must register in advance. Reserve your spot.

Ontario County Public Heath Rabies Prevention Clinic

Because we have documented rabies in this county, it is the law that every dog, cat and ferret in Ontario County must be vaccinated against rabies at all times. This clinic offers FREE vaccinations to healthy animals who are at least three months old. (Donations appreciated.) Please bring your animal's past rabies certificate, if any.

Shred-Text will provide onsite document destriction of your confidential records including expired insurance policies, tax records, medical records, bank statements and old checks, and any document containing your personal information. (No need to remove paperclips, rubber bands or staples.) This service is FREE to Ontario County employees and residents.
