The Town of Richmond's Recreation Department offers a wide variety of activities open to residents in the Towns of Richmond, Bristol and Canadice. We also provide young adults in the community with opportunities for part time employment as recreation assistants. For further information, contact the Richmond Recreation Department at 330.7066.

Summer Activities:

American Red Cross Swim Lessons at Sandy Bottom beach for ages 2 & up begin in July. Classes are taught by certified American Red Cross lifeguards. Arts & crafts are also part of the summer recreation program. Children get to create a simple yet artistic craft to take home every Tuesday and Thursday after swim lessons.

Activity Days at the Bristol Town Park are held weekly in July. Workshops include basketball, soccer and a sled dog demo; participants can also enjoy basketball, kick ball, soccer, tennis and time on the playground. During inclement weather, there will be arts and crafts in the pavilion.

Weekly Field Trips during the month of July and beginning of August for ages 5-13 years old. Field trips include: free concert at Sandy Bottom Beach, Seneca Park Zoo and Minnehan's. (Note: the Red Wings field trip has been cancelled.) A cost of $15 to $25 applies to some trips to cover the price of admission and bus service.
